As a Licensed Mental Health Counseling Associate, Jess Elkins (she/her) enjoys helping people heal from past trauma, learn to understand themselves at a deeper level, navigate life changes, and curiously explore shifting senses of identity. She utilizes an integrative, person-centered approach, getting to know her clients and their values before bringing in bits and pieces of Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), psychodynamic psychotherapy, and somatic/mindfulness therapy (among others) to assist in healing. Jess believes that there is no “one-size-fits-all” in therapy, so she tailors her approach to every client she sees to ensure they get the support they need. Jess identifies as Pagan now, but used to identify as Wiccan for many years and still holds on to many of those Wiccan beliefs and practices. She loves integrating the client's spiritual beliefs into therapy and even uses tarot or oracle cards in her practice, if requested. Jess also has experience with spirits and helping people who have struggled with feeling unsafe in their homes due to paranormal activity.
